I want to develop a simple Web App in Spring boot with an Oracle Database and am now getting into the User setup. The goal is, that a User can register on the website and then have a user account where he can access his data (e.g. his contacts in a CRM system).

My question regarding the User setup in the database: When the user registers, should that registration create a new USER in Oracle ("CREATE USER myUser identified by myPassword") or should I create a new table "USERS" with columns like Name, Password etc. and then adding a user column to each relevant table?

The reason why I am asking is the following: The Web App - upon startup - already connects to the database using the ORACLE user with the user credentials defined in the pom.xml file - which it needs to, to connect to the database in the first place.

Or am I approaching the topic in the completely wrong way?
