ObjectMapper restrictions

Question

Is ObjectMapper supposed to work with a class which only has private members, no constructor and no getter/setters ?

I tried this, but it does not solve the problem.

mapper.setVisibility(JsonMethod.FIELD, JsonAutoDetect.Visibility.ANY);
