Navigation Drawer crashes my app

800 views Asked by At

I'm trying to add a Navigation Drawer to my app but I'm getting an error:

Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
    at com.conversions.rolando.conversions.MainActivity.onCreate(MainActivity.java:66)
    at android.app.Activity.performCreate(Activity.java:5231)
    at android.app.Instrumentation.callActivityOnCreate(Instrumentation.java:1087)
    at android.app.ActivityThread.performLaunchActivity(ActivityThread.java:2159)

The error points to:

NavigationDrawerFragment drawerFragment = (NavigationDrawerFragment)
        getSupportFragmentManager().findFragmentById(R.id.fragment_navigation_drawer);
drawerFragment.setUp(R.id.fragment_navigation_drawer,(DrawerLayout)findViewById(R.id.drawer_layout));

Which is part of the MainActivity.java:

I'm not sure what I'm missing and whether the problem is on the MainActivity.java or the NavigationDrawerFragment.java.

Thanks!
