I tried to follow windows installation instruction of tensorflow detection api, but stuck with protobuf. Since windows command prompt doesn't recognise *.proto, I had to write a batch file:

for %%f in (object_detection/protos/*.proto) do (
protoc object_detection/protos/%%~nf.proto --python_out=.
)

I had to put protoc to PATH to make this nightmare work. I finally have all *.py files near *.proto files, But I still get error if I try to launch ./legacy/train.py:

from object_detection.protos import input_reader_pb2
ImportError: cannot import name 'input_reader_pb2' from
'object_detection.protos'
(C:\Users\steve\Project\electricityLines\venv\lib\site-packages\o
bject_detection-0.1-py3.7.egg\object_detection\protos\__init__.py)

is there a functional tutorial which shows how to install this stuff on Windows?
