Does IE 11 support offline storage, so web pages can work completely offline

Question

Background:

I am building an html5, angularjs offline web appliation.

Issue:

My offline web application works in the offline mode in chrome and firefox. But it fails to work in the offline mode in IE11 browser.

Question:

Does IE11 support applications to work in offline mode ?.

I am getting confusing messages after reading different forums like the one below:

It says that IE 11 wouldn't support offline storage....is it correct ?
