I'm trying to load a 3D model, stored locally on my computer, into Three.js with JSONLoader
, and that 3D model is in the same directory as the entire website.
I'm getting the "Cross origin requests are only supported for HTTP."
error, but I don't know what's causing it nor how to fix it.
My crystal ball says that you are loading the model using either
file://
orC:/
, which stays true to the error message as they are nothttp://
So you can either install a webserver in your local PC or upload the model somewhere else and use
jsonp
and change the url tohttp://example.com/path/to/model
Origin is defined in RFC-6454 as
So even though your file originates from the same host (
localhost
), but as long as the scheme is different (http
/file
), they are treated as different origin.
