Annoying flashing on Linux Mint

Asked by At

I have video problems, since I use linux mint Mate, which I can't live with. I used Cinnamon for almost 2 years, then I decided to switch to Mate due to instability and after 2-3 months I switched to xfce. With mate I started having the video problems I'm about to explain to you. With mate, after a few hours of computer work, I began to see the cursor flashing repeatedly, then dozens of cursors on the screen, the problems were increasing, seeing also the windows of the programs I used (or local resources) repeated on the screen until I restarted. Now the problem is lighter, with xfce, but anyway I start to see the cursor (even after a short time I restarted) flashing and if it passes near a button or an icon, the area that the cursor touches is grainy and yes he sees little good. It is quite annoying, not only to select and write a text, but to do the rest. I have a Intel NUC5CPYH.

I leave you with various information, as I have already exposed this problem with Mate in other forums and with xfce for a few days, but I have never arrived at a solution. The information that I leave you is about the strings that I entered in Xfce, not the solutions that have given me previously for mate

I thank anyone who can help me

~$ lspci|grep -i vga 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom/Celeron/Pentium Processor x5-E8000/J3xxx/N3xxx Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 21) ~# lshw -c display | grep driver configuration: driver=i915 latency=0

I also disabled the ppa. In all honesty I had these ppa installed because in the Driver Manager I have an empty window, as you can see and so I thought I could insert some Intel PPAs, but I didn't follow any rules (I took them from the Applications Manager)

My monitor setting Since the beginning of the installation (compared to Cinnamon and Mate) I have not enabled the option "Main Screen"
