Android studio widgets get disappeared in Relative layout

Question

Why does relative layout makes my widgets disappear. Whenever I am adding edit text in the code, everything dissappears.

        android:layout_centerInParent="true"
        android:layout_above="@+id/editTextemail"
        android:text="Login"
        android:textColor="@color/black"
        android:textSize="30sp" />


    <EditText
        android:id="@+id/editTextemail"
        android:layout_width="250dp"
        android:layout_height="40dp"
        android:ems="10"

When I am adding this widgets, in relative layout, they suddenly get disappeared. What is the reason?

Just remove the following line, from TextView attributes

android:layout_above="@+id/editTextemail"

Make sure to use from top to bottom ids and not vise versa.

Change this

android:layout_above="@+id/editTextemail"

To

android:layout_below="@+id/imageView"
